Sugar Packagers

Core requirements for licensed sugar packagers

• Sign a Fair Trade Sugar License/Certification agreement, in order to become licensed to display TransFair USA's Fair Trade Certified on your Fair Trade products or materials
• Purchase Fair Trade Certified sugar from importers licensed by TransFair USA. For a list of licensed sugar importers, click here
• Get approval from TransFair for all sugar packaging carrying the Fair Trade Certified logo. For a sugar package to carry the logo, the sugar must be 100% Fair Trade Certified. At this point, TransFair is not certifying sugar as an ingredient in other products.
• Submit brief quarterly reports to TransFair of Fair Trade Certified sugar purchases and sales
• Mail in copies of invoices sent to you by your importer for all purchases of Fair Trade Certified sugar
