Fair Trade Certified coffee can be grown in many ways, including in the shade. In fact, most Fair Trade Certified coffee is shade-grown. Growing coffee under the shade of natural forest canopy preserves crucial habitats for a diverse array of plants, animals, insects and migratory birds.
